Guess What? and Did You Know?   Archives

......that the Saskatoon Area office will no longer be selling merchandise beginning the next Guiding year.  GGC has moved towards an online merchandising system so after June, uniforms, program books, merchandise, badges etc you will be ordering either through the Provincial store in Regina or through the National E-Store.  There are still lots of uniform pieces, badges and merchandise still in stock as well as some discounted merchandise. Come in and check it out!

.......The F3 program has a supply of gently used, current uniform pieces - Guider blouses as well. Families/Guiders may apply to F3 to access this pool of uniforms.

There are still funds available in F3! Do you have girls in your unit that don't have a program book? Do you have girls that never attend camp or special unit activities because of the fee? Apply to F3 on behalf of the unit to cover the costs for those girls. To download an application form click here.

Do you have a great idea or have you attended or planned a great activity or event? Contact Joelle to submit your story and you might be published in the Canadian Guider.....

........Area has waived the Trefoil Trail ground fees for units camping during July and August 2009!

....that Saskatoon Area is providing a $10 rebate towards any programmed camp at Can-ta-ka-ye in 2009. The rebate is for individual campers not units. The official receipt from Can-ta-ka-ye must be submitted to the office and a cheque will then be forwarded to the camper.

....that Girl Guides of Canada registration fees and camp fees meet the criteria for the Saskatchewan Government Active Families Benefit in the "Recreational Activities" category. The Area office will handle the receipts for membership fees and the unit or district will handle the receipts for camp fees.

.....Saskatoon Area now has a "Family Plan" for the 2009/2010 Registration. Click here for details. The winner of the "register early and win back your membership fee" contest was Claire M - 44th Guides
