     The Marian Clark Camping Grant

 

Purpose:  To promote camping in tents

                 To assist a group or individual to take part in an event involving tent camping

 

Funds available:   20 percent of the cost of the event, to a maximum of $300 within Saskatchewan, $500 outside Saskatchewan

 

To be eligible for this grant, the camping event must include four or more nights camping in tents and take place more than 200 km or two hours traveling distance from home.  Preference will be given to adventure camping.  Applicants are not eligible if they are already receiving national or provincial sponsorship.

 

Units applying for this grant should send:

-          An outline of your camp plans, including location and distance from home, purpose of the camp, length of camp and estimated costs.

-          A letter from your District Commissioner, stating that she is aware of the event, its purpose, and that the criteria for the grant are met.

 

Individuals applying for this grant should send:

-          A letter outlining the trip planned, including location and distance from home, purpose of the camp, length of camp and estimated costs.

-          Include the name of the Guider in Charge of the camp.

-          A letter from your Unit Guider, stating that she is aware of the trip.

 

Applications must be received by March 31.
